Each year, Lowitja Institute invites applications for research project funding and for research grants.

Our Research Agenda themes are developed through a collective process of bringing together a range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders from the research, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community control and health sectors, as they are grounded in current and priority needs.

Each grant round is influenced by themes and priorities that are identified at Lowitja Institute’s bi-annual International Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Conference.
