We welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisations and organisations who are committed to the purposes and objectives of Lowitja Institute to join our vibrant Members Community.
Applying for membership
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisations and organisations committed to the objectives of Lowitja Institute are invited to apply to join our vibrant Members Community.
All Member applications are subject to approval by Lowitja Institute’s Board.
Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis by our Board, which means there may be a delay between submitting your application and receiving an outcome.

Full Member organisations

Full membership applications are open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations committed to the purposes and objectives of Lowitja Institute. Our Constitution defines Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations as an incorporated organisation:
a) which has at least 51% of its members being Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
b) which has at least 51% of its governing board being Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
c) whose principal purpose and activities are related specifically to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Full Member organisations have voting rights.
Associate Member organisations
Associate organisation membership applications are open to organisations committed to the purposes and objectives of the Lowitja Institute.
Associate Member organisations do not have voting rights.
