Claire Prideaux

Senior Policy Officer

Claire grew up on many different parts of Noongar Country and now lives and works on Wurundjeri Country. She studied Law and Economics (First Class Honours) at the University of Western Australia in Boorloo/Perth (Whadjuk Country), and relocated to Naarm in 2016.

Claire previously worked at the Australian Government Productivity Commission on a broad range of inquiries relating to data, inequality and evaluation as a Research Economist. She moved into the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled sector as a Senior Policy Officer at SNAICC – National Voice for Our Children in 2021, where she specialised in child protection policy and research, and remains passionate about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child and family wellbeing.
