This project aimed to develop and implement a model that provides culturally appropriate and safe kin mapping and connection strategies for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in out-of-home care. It collected the first-hand experiences of past and current kin carers in South East Queensland, building an evidence base that outlined the enablers and barriers kin carers have faced throughout the whole process that will be directly translated into service provision.
