Project summary: In 2020, First Nations Media Australia partnered with the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Advancing Journalism to undertake a study of the impact of First Nations media organisations in the initial response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Seed funding was sought to update the initial study, providing evidence of the contribution First Nations community controlled media organisations have made to keeping communities safe.
