Our policy and advocacy contributes to a range of policy spaces and debates in Australia and internationally. Through membership of collaboration groups and forums, we represent the interests of Lowitja Institute and provide input into broader policy priorities and conversations.

Lowitja Institute is a key member of the Coalition of Peaks, the National Health Leadership Forum, the Partnership for Justice in Health, the Close the Gap Campaign, and the Climate and Health Alliance.

Through policy and advocacy work, we seek to influence policy at a national, state, and territory level through the national health research agenda, and health policy, programs, and practice across the social, cultural, and political determinants of health.

Lowitja Institute engages policymakers by hosting parliamentary events, meeting with Ministers, or roundtable discussions to support knowledge translation.
