Leila's work contributes to the Lowitja Institute’s broader Insight activities and converts key elements of research findings into approaches for evidence-based decision-making by policymakers, communities and practitioners
Prior to the Lowitja Institute, Leila was a Senior Consultant at the management consulting firm Nous Group. She has also worked in various health and data organisations including as the Policy and Programs Manager at the Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association, a data analyst at the Australia Institute of Health and Welfare, and a Research Officer at the Australian Social Science Data Archive, and the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies.
Leila is a Wiradjuri woman, whose family is from Cowra in central New South Wales. Raised in Canberra, Leila holds a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Cambridge and Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University.
