How does how disability intersect with broader health and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples?

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a disability may be disadvantaged by experiences of ongoing systemic racism. Government policies, including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), define interactions and relationships between services and clients, which can add to the complexity of an already challenging reality for many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a disability.
