Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Award

This award aims to recognise an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student who has or is finishing their studies with a Master or PhD postgraduate degree within the nominated timeframe.

The successful awardee will receive:

• $5000 cash, and
• Full registration to the Lowitja Institute International Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Conference including travel and accommodation.

The eligibility criteria for this award is as follows:

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student, and
• In the process of completing Master or PhD postgraduate studies or has finished studies within the last 3 years.
  Note: the scope of the studies includes basic science, medicine, epidemiology, public health, social health and community health. The focus of the studies is for the benefit of the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
