Rebecca’s family are Walpiri from central Northern Territory. She was raised in Broken Hill and lived in Adelaide for about 10 years where she worked in administration for the Office for Women and as an Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Worker at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Her time in Adelaide included volunteering with the Women’s Information Service which she is most proud of. She also had a stint as an actor and singer with the popular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performance group ‘Sista Act: Women of Country’. She has graduated from the University of Sydney with a Graduate Diploma of Health Science (Aboriginal Health & Community Service). She is currently living in Melbourne with her beautiful young son and two mischievous cats.
