By donating you are making a genuine contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers and their communities.

By donating towards our research grants, you will help build the capability of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research within Aboriginal-led organisations.

What is a Seeding Grant?

Lowitja Institute Seeding Grants aim to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations to transform their ideas and aspirations into research for the health and wellbeing of communities.

Many of our seeding grant recipients go on to apply for a Lowitja Institute Major Grant. Seeding projects are also a way for organisations to seek funding from other  sources that can include Commonwealth and state research funding as well as university and philanthropic funding.

Donate $35,000 or an amount of your choice to contribute towards supporting research led by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations.

All donors will receive:

  • recognition of your support of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing research
  • acknowledgement as a donor on the Lowitja Institute website and other communications if given permission
  • tax deductibility on your donation.
