Fund a scholarship for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researcher to complete a Certificate IV or contribute for them to attend the Lowitja Institute International Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Conference 2025.

Lowitja Institute scholarships aim to support the next generation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research workforce. This is done by building the capacity and capability of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce at all levels of the research process, from research administration and project management, all the way to conducting postgraduate research.

Over the Institute’s history, we have funded more than 160 students through our scholarship programs, and in 2021 we awarded 14 scholarships. These talented scholars have undertaken PhDs, Masters by research and coursework, certificate courses and cadetships.
