Jaki Adams
Executive Manager, Research and Knowledge Translation
Jaki is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descended from the Yadhaigana and Wuthathi people of Cape York Peninsula in Queensland. She has traditional family ties with the Gurindji Peoples of Central Western Northern Territory, and extended family relationships with the people of the Torres Straits and Warlpiri (Yuendumu Northern Territory).
Jaki comes to Lowitja Institute from The Fred Hollows Foundation (Australia and Asia-Pacific) where she was Director Social Justice and Regional Engagement.
Jaki has a wealth of experience in both government and non-government sectors, and the Aboriginal community controlled sector. Jaki is widely known, particularly in the eye-health space, and she has key passions and interests regarding allyship and social change as an Atlantic Fellow.
