Victorian Aboriginal Health Service Young People's Project: A Study of the Health and Wellbeing of Koori Youth in Melbourne

This report builds on various community reports in a series entitled The Study of Young People's Health & Well-Being, previously published by the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) as part of the Young People’s project in 1999-2000.

This report provides an overview of the physical, social and emotional issues that affect Aboriginal youths, as well as the strengths and protective factors that make them resilient. It describes some of the findings from the Young People’s Project questionnaire survey and health check, together with findings from the discussions with young people and interviews with key people. These findings are supported by their direct words.

Copies of the report can be obtained from the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service.
