Liz is currently the Program Manager for Program 1 of the Lowitja Institute.  Prior to joining the Institute, Liz worked as Project Manager for a development project funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, involving Queensland University of Technology and research organizations from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. The project focused on improving nutrition for children through developing bananas with a higher nutritional value, capacity building activities to decrease scientific dependency and developing plant-viruses screening tools for small farmers to secure their banana crop.

Liz has also worked with the University of Queensland and Southern Cross University on CRC projects involving intellectual property and commercialization of research. She holds a Doctorate in Sciences, a Bachelor in Biology Sciences and a Diploma in Research Management.
