Jane Yule is the Research Communications Manager at the Lowitja Institute. In this role she is responsible for ensuring that the knowledge arising from research is shared through innovative and appropriate communications to a diverse audience — Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, government policy makers, the research community and the mainstream health sector. Jane also provides advice on writing, editing and publishing options to our researchers and students. Prior to working at the Lowitja Institute, Jane was Publications Manager at the Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health, and the Senior Communications Manager at Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit at the University of Melbourne. She has a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters degree in history, and qualifications in Recreation and in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. She has worked for many years as an academic editor for Monash, Deakin and Melbourne universities, as well as for various publishing houses, and is an experienced interviewer and historical researcher who specialises in oral history. | |
