Perina is a descendant of the Daureb people from the Murray Islands in the Torres Strait and the Wuthathi and Yadhaigana people from the Cape York Peninsula. She joins the Lowitja Institute team having extensive experience with State and Commonwealth Governments.
Perina is a former Executive Assistant to the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer for Queensland Health. Her passion for healthcare has led to her completing projects in corporate settings and remote Indigenous communities.
A proud Indigenous business owner, Perina hopes to continue to inspire young indigenous people to achieve their dreams.
