Program 2: Healthy Communities and Settings

Dr Kevin Rowley has a background in heart health research, including the biology, pharmacology, and clinical and social epidemiology of cardiovascular disease risk. He has a Bachelor in Applied Science, a PhD and a Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

Kevin is an National Health and Medical Research Council Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne’s Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit where his major current research interests are in the evaluation of Aboriginal community-led social and clinical interventions to improve health and wellbeing.

Kevin has collaborative projects underway with Aboriginal communities in both Victoria and the Northern Territory, and is a member of the core reference group for the national Mibbinbah Men’s Health Project.

He has been a co-leader of the CRC for Aboriginal Health’s Chronic Conditions Program since 2003.
