Charles Darwin University (formerly Northern Territory University) is renowned for its research expertise and leadership in tropical and desert knowledge of both the Australian and wider Asia–Pacific region. CDU has a particular focus on Indigenous knowledge and addressing problems of importance to the peoples of the region. The university has nine campuses and centres across the Northern Territory.
